Think back to when you were a little kid sitting at the top of a gigantic 5ft slide in the park, about to go down it for the first time ever. It was scary wasn’t it.
It was scary because you felt like you were on the edge of the unknown, the adrenaline was pumping through your veins at the apprehension of how fast you might fall. And, you definitely did not want to end up in a muddy-kneed heap on all that weird woodchip stuff! But one of the worst parts was the absolute panic if there was no one there to hold your hand all the way down that slippery incline.
Going to therapy for the first time is probably a similar experience for some people. You’ve no idea what to expect (no matter how much googling you do or how many people you ask).
The thing is, therapy can be a bit like the slide. Having gone down a slide you know that it’s not as scary as you first thought. In fact, sometimes you can’t wait to climb right back up to the top and go down again.
If you can visualize yourself as a little kid, in the park, at the top of that slide and can recall those emotions, then that’s what it’s like to experience Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT)®.
Using relaxation techniques the therapy involves looking back at situations from your past (whether they be from childhood or more recent times) and we discuss how you felt in those situations to establish why you behave/feel certain ways.
During the therapy, together, we look for patterns in your behaviour and then you can use that insight to make a choice. You get to choose whether or not you want to carry on using old thoughts and feelings – or instead, you can use the knowledge of why you previously behaved in particular ways and opt to go down a different path/slide.
If you’re ready to change your ways and have problems including anxiety, depression, confidence, sleep issues, fears, phobias, weight control, stress, sports performance, addictions and many more issues then get in touch to find out how Get It Off Your Chest Therapy can help you.
RTT® is a hybrid therapy, offering unparalleled results and works by combining the most beneficial principles of Hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies to access and rewire the subconscious mind.
RTT® practitioners are equipped with an array of techniques and tools that are crucial, not just in teaching you how to communicate with your subconscious mind but also directly accessing and fixing whatever blocks may be there.
