You're not being selfish

How often do you spend a couple of hours talking about nothing but yourself and how you feel with someone else, without that other person’s opinion or their own experiences being added into the conversation?

Still trying to figure it out?

It's because we rarely do that in an average conversation. It’s normal when you’re having a chat with a friend or family member to get their perspective on a situation when you’re talking or for them to throw in a little story about how they might have had similar experiences.

This is why it’s different when you’re talking with a therapist. In therapy the conversation remains all about you and how you’re feeling.

At first it might feel a bit selfish. It’s really not though. It’s what the therapist is there for – they’re there to listen to you and your experiences. They’re there to help you make sense of what you’re feeling. They’re there for you.

Get It Off Your Chest Therapy specialises in Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT)® which is a hybrid therapy using principles from a variety of therapies including hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

By using relaxation techniques we can help you to focus on how you interpret situations and what you feel in the moment to help you change your behaviours. We help you make positive steps in changing how you respond to various scenarios to ultimately help you lead a healthier and happier life.

If you’re ready to make the changes and want the opportunity to focus on yourself for a couple of hours through talking with our therapist then please get in touch and see how we can help you.
